About us

The Magnet Qualification and Analysis section (TE-MSC-MQA) is part of the Magnets, Superconductors and Cryostat group (TE-MSC), which in turn is part the Technology department (TE), one of the departments within the Accelerators and Technology sector (ATS).

Mandate

  1. Qualifying and testing superconducting magnets and related equipment
  2. Analyzing and reporting test results of superconducting magnets and related equipment
  3. Developing and maintaining a data acquisition and diagnostics architecture to support the testing and analysis of superconducting magnets
  4. Operating, maintaining and upgrading the horizontal and vertical test stations in SM18, also in view of future needs
